Used Vs. New

Value Loss

One of the most common misconceptions about buying remanufactured conveyor is that you are buying product of inferior quality. You see this trend in other industries, when comparing the cost-saving measures of buying pre-owned to the peace of mind of buying new.

The people selling you the new equipment are perfectly happy to have it this way. It gives them a leg up that they haven’t earned.

There are many industries where the same confidence can be had with buying pre-owned equipment that you’ll get buying new. However, there are a few where buying used is preferential to buying new.

After all, a new car will lose roughly 10% of its value the moment you drive it off the lot.

Is your business in a situation to afford a 10% value loss on buying new equipment? Is it in a position to take a 50% value loss? And how about the time it takes the warehouse to manufacture completely new equipment?

Give used some thought before buying new.
